Spinach Salad with Cranberry Goat Cheese

Servings: 6  |  Featured Product:  Celebrity International Goat Cheese with Cranberry


1 tsp (5 mL) Butter
1 Red onion, thinly sliced
8 cups (2 L) Baby spinach, washed
2 Pears, peeled and diced
Salt and freshly ground pepper
1 pkg (300 g) Celebrity International goat cheese with cranberries, crumbled
3 tbsp (45 mL) Balsamic vinegar
3 tbsp (45 mL) Extra virgin olive oil


Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 5 minutes

Saute onions with butter in a frying pan until soft and golden brown (about 5 minutes).

Toss together spinach, pears and sauteed onions. Season with salt and pepper.

Divide spinach mixture between 6 salad plates.

Top each with the crumbled goats cheese.

Just before serving drizzle oil and vinegar over each salad.
